The Cup is a qualifier for the 2019 World League with four teams from each tournament qualifying for the Super Finals alongside the top three teams from the FINA/LEN Europa Cup Finals and the host nations.

Miya Tachibana and Miho Takeda took the gold medal in Artistic Swimming by scoring the near perfect score of 99,400 points! It was Japan's first ever title in Artistic Swimming.

Yang Jian continued his winning streak in the men's 10m platform after he won the event in Sagamihara, Japan, last weekend. Yang collected a total of 573.60, including 102.60 for his fifth dive 207B and 110.70 for his last dive 109B. Olympic champion Chen Aisen came from behind after three rounds and finished runner-up with 527. 65. Aleksandr Bondar from Russia placed third 509.95 and British star Thomas Daley failed to make the podium with 488.50.

Day 2 - Beijing (CHN) | FINA Diving World Series 2019



Shi, unbeaten since 2013 in both the national and international meets, started 1.5 point lower than her long-time friend and new synchro partner Wang Han (CHN) for her first dive, and accumulated the gap little by little after each round. Shi finally collected 367.00 points, 10.40 behind Wang. Jennifer Abel of Canada finished third (332.70).

Two time Olympic champion Cao, sealed the victory in the men's 3m springboard with six stable dives for a winning total of 541.95 points.

Chinese new pair Chang Yani/Yang Hao led the mixed 3m springboard with 315.21 points, beating Francois Imbeau-Dulac/Jennifer Abel of Canada (304.08) and Thomas Daley/Grace Reid of Great Britain (294.39), respectively.

Cao Yuan/Chen Aisen of China topped the men's 10m synchro platform as they scored 494.55, beating Aleksandr Bondar/Viktor Minibaev of Russia (425.67) and Domonic Bedggood/Declan Stacey of Australia (411.00). Thomas Daley/Matthew Lee of Great Britain finished fourth (400.86).

Two time Olympic champion Cao in the 10m platform synchro in London 2012 and the 3m springboard in Rio 2016, continued his streak in the dual-track and won two titles in the two synchro platform and springboard event as well as a silver medal in the men’s 3m springboard.
