Lindsey Vonn | Farewell Season | FIS Alpine

The winningest female in alpine skiing history announced that the 2018/19 season would have been her last winter of competition.

She was forced to skip her favourite World Cup stage in Lake Louise after crashing in training at Copper Mountain.

Vonn returned to action in Cortina but after failing to finish a World Cup super-G on the Olympia delle Tofane slope, the US superstar said leaving the sport immediately was a possibility.

Five days after crashing in the super-G at the World Champs in Åre, Vonn bounced back to win the bronze medal in the world championship downhill in the final race of her career.
